4.26.10 – Waiting for opportunity to knock
I know as a rational person that opportunity or fortune is not going to come knocking on my door, yet I still keep hoping and waiting for it.

the television is the perfect symbol for passivity!
ReplyDeleteIt was actually a close circuit monitor in the online company day-job I work for, which I thought worked well for showing no one "knocking at the front door." Your comment is also quite true. I'm constantly annoyed at myself for the wasted years in my youth watching obscene amounts of television as a way of numbing myself to the unhappy life I was living, which also helped keep me in that same situation.
