I'm in a funk and need to get out. I have no problem watching a movie a day, but find it more and more difficult to get my video projects done. Work or scheduling issues seem to keep getting in the way. An artist I know set out on a project to make a drawing a day as a way to deal with these problems. I've decided to use a Flip camera and iMovie to make one short video sketch a day. Some narrative, some not, hopefully some interesting. We'll see what happens when there are no excuses.

4.3.10 – Going Over
I have some photographer friends who’ve taken pictures while driving, but I’ve never dared do it. Recently a fellow blogger did a video on bicycle that prompted me to film while my favorite bridge is still open. I’ve never even been able to drive and talk on my cell phone, so this may not have been the best idea, but luckily no accidents occurred while filming.
Oh! That is surprisingly wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSurprising, I guess, because when I filmed from a bike I wasn't sure how interesting it would be, but I found your film here almost mesmerizing--of course some of that is the cool bridge with the wonderful humming noise you'd written about a few days ago.
What river does it cross?
Now I want to film more from my bike... Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks, Fresca, and thanks for your inspiration. It made me a little queasy watching it, even though I have no problems driving the bridge.
ReplyDeleteI'm going from Northern Kentucky over the Ohio River into Cincinnati.
Oh!!! The Ohio River!
ReplyDeleteThe river features hugely in the book I am working on:
The French and Indian War.
Until I started the research I'd never thought about the river. (Or the war.)
I'm on the Mississippi---must find a way to film it.
